I would love it if the system emailed the consignors at night when we upload the days sales to notify them of items that they sold for the day.

Yes! I know of a store about an hour away that created their own system that does that. However, their system emails after EACH item sold and it's a kids' store. Seems like that would get tiresome; oh I sold a onesie and got $.43, oh look I sold a pair of jeans and got $1.19.
Even daily could get repetitive. Maybe a weekly email would work better... Could it be customizable? (daily, weekly, biweekly, monthly, etc)

How about offering the consignor My Resale Web so they can check what sold anytime that is convenient for them? Otherwise, it sounds like they would be getting too many emails.

Yep, that's what we do now, which our customers love. But some are intimidated by all things computer.
We LOVE LOVE LOVE my resale web! Feel like it adds to our credibility and trustworthiness in consignors' eyes.
