Would like to see a field for brand name on the add inventory screen. In my store we deal with all different ranges of items, it would be nice to have a field to designate the brand name. This field could be pulled into reports so that you can see why one pair of jeans is in at $7 and another is in at $17. It would also assist in a great number of reports that could be run to determine what is or isn't selling in the store.
Does anyone have any suggestions on how to accomplish this type of thing without such a field?

You can create descriptions that include brand name. It would be a loooong list, but it can be done!
Your descriptions might look something like this: Hollister Jeans Hollister Long-Sleeve Hollister Hoodie Hollister Tshirt Hollister Hat
etc.
You would have to do that for each brand name and type combo that you wish to include. It will take time, but the upside is that you'll be able to run very specific reports.

The 2 years we have been open, we categorize our inventory the following way and it works well! Whenever we need to look-up items for a customer by brand or find for a consignor, its very simple. I don't feel a brand field is necessary and there really isn't any extra room on the tickets. by class (ie: jeans, dress, sweater, short, skirt, etc) The Description always includes the first 5 letters of the brand name in capital letters. For example a Hollister sweater might appear like this: class: sweater Description: HOLLI vnk cable color: black size: s

debrose - thank you for the suggestion - I am wondering how you know if your sweater is mens, womens, or childrens.
We use Types of Mens Clothing, Womens Clothing, Boys Clothing, Girls Clothing, etc Description would be sweater vnk ribbed solid - then color and size
So I was hoping to have this field added to the screen for use in reports. I would not want it printed on the ticket as you are correct there is no extra space.

We have used consign pro for nearly 13years. There are many wonderful features but we agree...having an additional field to include brand would be very valuable for our store.
