Is anyone using consign pro for multiple store locations, and if so, what do you think? What works and what doesn't? What if internet goes down? If there's any information you can give me, I would very appreciative. Thank you!!

We currently run two stores that are linked together. We are only 15 miles apart and new that it would be needed to share information because our consignors shop both locations. There are definatley some pros and cons. Pros - consignors can use store credit at either location, they can call or stop in either location to get information on their account, you can see inventory at either location, as an owner I can look to see sales throughout the day and I can also see if employees are pricing merchandise. Cons - my none-server location computer runs very slow usually on c.c. processing, adding new inventory and getting to the reports screen (may have to do with our internet speed - we are in the mountains, but never had a speed issue until they were linked). If my internet or server goes down at the main location neither computer can get into consignpro. I'd be happy to talk with you further about other things we have figured out to do to help us with inventory organization of 2 stores if you would like. 970-328-0466 or rouge.boutique@live.com

Oh and a big thing i forgot to mention is only an issue if you have different sales tax rates. You can only put in one sales tax rate so we have our default set at our higher rate and have to manually override the tax on each item at the other store before we complete the sale. We set it to the higher rate because if for any reason we forgot to change it i'd rather charge the customer too much then to have to pay out of pocket when filing sales tax. You can also adjust tax on your Maintain List section but then you have to know exactly what all your Types are going to be and we use quite a few for more accurate reporting.
I keep thinking of more things we learned about as we were going and again would be happy to give advice if you need more.
